Case of the month- May 2013

Our case of the month for May is a combination case of: Orthodontics with Invisalign clear removable braces Dental implants Ceramic crowns Cosmetic bonding Due to quite severe tooth wear due to grinding at night and general issues with the condition of her teeth, our patient sought treatment that was designed to treat all the major considerations but with a minimal emphasis. Initially Invisalign was used to straighten the teeth and place them in the optimal position for the planned dental implant. After this, all ceramic crowns were placed on badly damaged teeth and cosmetic bonding was done on chipped front teeth. Overall, a fantastic result and a delighted patient. Please view the before and after photographs:

missing teeth, worn teeth, broken teeth Note the missing tooth on the right side and the damaged teeth. Invisalign braces had been used to straighten the teeth.
dental implant, straight teeth, cosmetic dentistry Note the difference on the right side. Natural, aesthetic and functional. A wonderful result.

This treatment adheres to our ethos of minimal intervention. It would be easy to prepare and cut healthy tooth enamel to provide an 'instant' orthodontic result but this is DESTRUCTIVE. Aligning the teeth first allows far more favourable positions for the teeth to be restored for dental implants and crowns if required. This will provide a longer lasting result with increased function. The entire treatment was provided by Dr Nissit Patel. The all ceramic crowns used were Empress E max. The dental implants used were Astra Tech.

Case of the Month February 2021

In contrast to porcelain veneers or crowns which require drilling away of healthy tooth enamel to cover the teeth with the ceramic. Granted, this may l… READ MORE

Case of the month December/January 2020/2021

Time has flown by and we forgot to post our case of the month for December so we have decided to combine them with a tremendous case study involving a complete smile transformation. Our client really hated her smile. The main issues were that the smile was not wide enough, the back teeth caved in so that they were not visible on photos and the bite was all over the place. As well as teeth crowding and an overall yellow shade, so a number of aesthetic problems. After careful planning, which is always the key… READ MORE

Initially, our patient came to us with quite short, yellow and crowded teeth. The brief was to be as minimal as possible and try to maintain the teeth as much as … READ MORE
