Cosmetic Dentistry - Alignment And Cosmetic Bonding

Our next case study highlights the expert treatment that we offer. To transform a smile, modern cosmetic dentistry should be minimally invasive. This way, the underlying teeth are kept healthy with no risk of biological damage. Why cut when you can align and bond?

Our patient presented with a tooth which was hidden from view. This was a complex case due to various factors, but our expert dentist, Dr Nissit Patel had the answers the problem. The photographs demonstrate the smile transformation:

The hidden tooth. How can it be brought back into alignment?

The tooth is visible again! After a course of invisible lingual braces, the tooth was brought back into alignment. Due to the previous position, it was heavily worn down over many years.

This treatment did NOT require any needles, any drilling and did not involve any pain. A full arch lingual brace was used using Innovation brackets. Cosmetic bonding was completed with G-aenial anterior composite. All treatment was carried out by Dr Nissit Patel.

A smile transformation should involve minimal or no biological damage to the teeth and gums to enhance the aesthetic and functional issues. The term 'Turkey Teeth comes from social media posts where a smile makeover is done over a weekend by hacking away natural healthy tooth structure and placing multiple crowns and veneers. These are often linked together with no means of cleaning b… READ MORE

Tooth Wear & Cosmetic Bonding Case Of The Month

Tooth wear is an increasing problem with grinding at night becoming an ever increasing problem coupled with acid in the diet. The combination of these two factors can lead to the softening and dissolving enamel leading to thin edges, chipping, fractures and exposure of the underlying dentine which can be very sensitive. The beauty of cosmetic bonding is that we can treat the wear, protect the teeth and impr… READ MORE
